My friends came over my house and snapped some pics of my gals.

The pretty teen is my friend's niece whom I have known when she was jus a sweet face baby. Time really flies - she is now all grown-up..

Mun is growing to be quite a handful - despite her getting on in years, she is 54 in human age, she is active and agile and impatient and hot tempered too.

Mun is food motivated and could not wait for her food, she also wants to snatch food that I was feeding to MM - I have resorted to hold her neck when I feed her and also to shove her away when I am feeding MM...funny that she has not tried to snatch from MiTao at all...

When feeding fruits, she shows her impatience and greed in that she would jost for all the pieces and she would vie with MM for every share....and she BITES me together with the morsel of food, she refuses to listen to instruction to sit at all and leap to snatch fruit...haiz has to find a way to let her know that she would not have to worry about makan in future and be patient to wait for her turn...

Mun is more like MM in term of behaviour and the 2 have been barking in perfect harmony whenever they detect movement out of house... and during the CNY, she barked non-stop at visitors to the house and took a while before she quietened down and accepted the visitors.

I am adjusting to the 2 trips a day to the roof top garden for her pee/poo but she is getting noti and take longer time to do her biz up there....so I need to take longer time walking her but she keeps wanting to go home instead and drags me which I find puzzling - she does not wan to do biz at home and when she is down to do her biz, she cannot wait to go home...

Somehow day by day, more of Mun's undesirable behaviour is showing although at the same time, she is also growing to be happier, closer to us and also more settled in = but for good or for the worse, she is here to stay....and no shortcut to obedience classes/behaviour modification classes to change her behaviour as all she need is time n understanding and acceptance...

Mun, we would give you and and ourselves all the time to get adjusted to each other...take your time okie, you are not going anywhere anytime okie...

Offically new addition to my barn :- a 8 years old Shihtzu gal renamed as MunMun on 1 feb 10.

She is by no mean a cutie pie but she is a endearing imp who is as noti, obstinate, barky n fiesy as MeiMei although she is of MiTao's age...not perfect and there are lots of extra work as well as give and take involved after taking her in .... but commitment is meant to be taken seriously so for good or for worse she would be one of the trio....

Mitao is now 6.8kg

Mitao is now 6.8kg..this lazy old gal has shed about 1 kg in the past year and

has become lighter and also more bubbly n active.

Hurray Hurray MiTao is now 7kg....finally after months after trying to keep her weight down to below 7kg mark, she is now at 7kg exactly.

MiTao is small in stature and in length, and she is most likely a senior dog of around 6-8 years old - hence for her health, it is better to keep her in the lower range of 6kg...

Problem is MiTao is an abused dog and she loves her food n lives to eat too -- to deprive this angelic gal of her primary enjoyment in life is cruel but I have no wish to save her from heartworm then let her die from chronic lifestyle disease/illness...so me have to be cruel

Have not met with much success making her lose weight thot she eats little -- 1/4 barf with her veg puree and supplements in the morning cos my mom is feeding her in my absence...until recently when she saw MiTao grasping for breath n I told her bluntly cos MT is too fat n cannot breathe --- surprisely this shock tactics work and from 2nd week of Nov, she has not sabotage MT's diet

Hence MT is able to shed 0.4kg to 7kg now..yippee

MT jia yu cos you are going to be my pal for many more years to come soo please be healthy for my sake okie....

MeiMei, MiTao, Mocca, Olive, Patchy n Brownie, Milo n Coco, Hazel, Lovely and Lotus, Skippy and Bazhang, Happy, Zhai Zhai and Xiao Bao would be without maid to take care of their need for the duration...

Me would be working and coming home to take care of family...the babes would nid to eat lesser so that there is less wastes to clear for the 10 days...

I was away at BKK for vacation from 11-14 Nov 09..missed my pets esp my MM and MT dearly and called back nightly...

MM was up to her monkey stints as it was rainy season -- she kept lifting the handset -- maybe trying to call me long distance...lol

But overall they managed well--- too well in fact without me -- so much so that both gals put on weight as my mom gleefully remarked = MM, the picky eater ate her BARF quickly n effortlessly every morning and she was agreeable to another fed in the evening....evidence of their contentment = both gained 0.2 kg by the time of my return....

MM now 6.4 from 6.15kg while MT was 7.4 from 7.2 kg last week

MeiMei on 15 Nov 05 - pic taken when she was in my house for 9 months. At that time, I was still a novice in dog care - evidence seen in MeiMei's messy looks despite monthly grooming and her maintaining a puppy cut -situation not helped by fact that MeiMei was already an obstinate gal then - she grolwed and struggled during grooming and ran for cover when she saw the slicker brush...those were the days

MeiMei's pics in her first few days at my house on 25 Feb 05. She was so young, small, dark and sotong then. Have loved her on sight and since then the feeling has grown and intensified. Her every joy is my joy and her every whine tugs at my heart strings. Because of this bundle of mischief, I had not been on trip or anywhere overnight until 2008 - curfew imposed on me by her was 10.30pm must be home as she would ask my mom for me.

Hay Galore

Did I mention before my piggies are also hay terminators beside being wheatminator.....well they devoured on average 1 kg of hay per week so 5 g of hay would be gone in a month so needless to say I desperately need to find places which offer me cheap hay...but then hor, fussy me and my pampered piggies -- we all cannot accept hay that are not green, tender and juicy ones....there would be a lot of rejects if the hay is too tough....

Just went to cart home 17.5kg of hay --- thanks goodness for my neighbour who is a cabbie and he drove me tp pick up hay, wait for me downstairs and sent me home all for $20...this huge bundle of hay means that no one hay shortage for the next 3 months or so....

My next order is 25 kg of hay....gosh how am i going to store them!!!!! Headache....

BlackBear aka Hei Ziong left me within the month of Aug without much fanfare...she deteriorated fast after I spotted her with no appetite and within the day, she was gone....I guess she was used to watching out and tending to Or Bi and after Or Bi left, she has nothing much to live for and she was already very very old at more than 9 years old...so without a care in this world, she left with no regret and in peace....probably she could not wait to re-join Or Bi in the other world....

My piggies' new house has arrived by the time I reached home from work on Friday night...

Spent the whole night refurbishing their house, laid the floor mats (really) and finally moved them into their new house...think they like it...busy exploring their new place n not so keen to eat their food already....

I like it but it is still work in progress....yet to really fence up the sides --- that will be phrase 2 of upgrading ba....

My fingers are stiff from all that cutting of tiles.....

My beloved pig Or Bi has finally passed away after a prolonged peroid of suffering today. I went into the pet room and she was there, stiff but still warm....

Or Bi was a real fighter, she was blind and her body stiffed and contorted by arithritis but despite all these, she was the one with the hearty appetite and wheeked the loudest for food...all types of food and even this morning, I noticed she looked off colour but she still got her appetite....

Glad that finally her suffering is over and she is now free from all her pains and aches and handicap....

Bathing Day today!

Today is shower day for MeiMei and Mitao...MeiMei bathed first, poor Mitao was so happy she followed behind with her tail wagging thinking it will be her turn soon....but she was disappointed when she realised nope...mommie not bathing her in the morning

Weighed both gals too .... MeiMei is 6.2kg while Mitao dropped .1kg to 7.4kg...these 2 gals were quite poor things -- now I feed them only once in the morning....MeiMei does not need to diet but she is super picky n refuses to eat much so I decide to cut down so that she would yearn for her food...Mitao is becos she desperately need to lose .5 to 1kg...
